Sókrates provides a managed AI department for operationally complex businesses — typically multi-site operators, regulated industries, or mid-market groups whose work routes through several disconnected systems. The team deploys and operates the local runtime on your premises, maintains the environment, and delivers ongoing AI engineering support under a monthly retainer.
Hardware procurement is a separate line item. The appliance is purchased upfront, is customer-owned from day one, and remains with you if the engagement ends. There are no return obligations, clawbacks, or hidden fees.
Sókrates operates on a single all-in monthly retainer for the duration of the engagement. The retainer amount, the one-time onboarding fee, and the appliance procurement cost are set out in your engagement letter and remain stable month-to-month, subject only to an annual adjustment per the engagement letter. The appliance is procured separately and is customer-owned from day one. The retainer is one figure each month — inference, model access, and the work of running the substrate are bundled in. There are no per-seat, per-token, or per-request surcharges; nothing is passed through, nothing is itemised at cost.

You may cancel the monthly retainer with 30 days’ written notice. On cancellation, the managed Sókrates service ends. This includes proactive discovery, ongoing capability development, model access, fleet monitoring, updates, support, and any Sókrates-administered workspaces or services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Hardware purchased by you remains your property. Your operational data remains your property. During the notice period, we will provide a Customer Custody Export containing customer-owned data and records generated during the engagement, including source-system data exports, customer-specific operating-map metadata, customer-specific rule contracts, the work behind every answer, governance records, decisions, approvals, signed-permission audit records, and sanitized source configurations.
The Customer Custody Export is what leaves with you. It is not a license to operate the Sókrates platform.
The export does not include Sókrates proprietary software, runtime components, model weights, fleet-learning systems, deployment images, provider credentials, raw backups, or internal operational telemetry, except where expressly stated in your engagement letter.
These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved before the District Court of Reykjavík.
